Education & Workshops

I was never going to be a nurse (way too squeamish) or in the police (too much of a wimp) but I've always wanted to feel like I'm "making a difference". Consequently when I left the corporate world of fashion retail, I knew I wanted to try and educate young people about "waste in the fashion industry" and the consequences of "fast fashion"
Don't get me wrong, I love clothes, and buying something new for a special occasion, but am very aware of the throwaway society we have become.
Having approached some schools, I started to hold lunchtime and after school clubs about waste and upcycling - all presented in a fun and hands on way.
Courses are tailored to fit your needs, from one off sessions to 10 week long courses. So far the feedback has been great!
I also run workshops for both adults and/or children, making handsewn cards, upcycling a t-shirt or a men's shirt.
If you think you would be interested in this for your school, or place of work please contact me.
